April - May 2010 - Spring seems to have zipped right by.  Summer is here!  We've had plentiful rain and now the temps are climbing.  First cutting of hay is put up.  Ben's keeping busy bush-hogging the pasture.  Check out his fancy "new" tractor - only 40 years old.  He's a John Deere man now.  We had a great visit with friends Eric Wanman and Rodney Hopwood (Idaho) when they made their annual circle through here in April.  Thanks to all of you who have brought dogs for Ben to train. Our friend Edna Grabow (Wyoming) stayed with us the first of May while she was on dog business here in Oklahoma. She also purchased a couple of our Katahdin ram lambs.  Doug and Maria Lawson, Alberta, were here the first of May working with Leslie on behalf of the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association (Leslie's day job).  Congratulations to Kenny Graves (Kansas) on the purchase of Dan.

Keep cool, Ben and Leslie

Mike Baxter (MO) with Liz.  She stayed for training.

Above Tiny snoozing with the master.

Right Adam Lima (OK) picks up Tuff from stock dog boot camp.  His dad Manuel came with him.

Brian Weaver, Copan, Oklahoma, working Bull, his nice Border Collie. Bull stayed for Ben to tune up.

Above Rodney Hopwood, L.R. Alexander (MO), Eric Wanman and Ben had a fun day at L.R.'s working (below) and talking dogs.  Left Eric, Ben and Rodney reloading Eric's new trailer he picked up here in Oklahoma.

Above Rawhide checks out one of Edna Grabow's Norwich Terrier pups.  Right Edna picking out her ram lambs.  Ben's the catch person.

Kenny Graves, Kansas, bought Dan, a young broke dog.  Dan sucks up to Grandma and their grandson, Ben.  Right Neighbor Mike and Debbie Kessel's grandson Zaden petting a lamb with Aunt Lilli looking on.

Left Eric and Glenda Armintrout (MO) pick up Sid from training.  Above Bob Jarman (OK) picks up Butch after his 30 days.

Ben and Doug Lawson (Alberta) chatting after supper and finishing up evening chores.

Yep, that's how ya shape a straw hat in this part of the country.  Right Mike Wedemeyer (TX) stops in.  Besides horse training he's a part time insurance adjuster.  He made a point while working here in Oklahoma to meet Ben.

A nice female Kelpie from K.J. Stewart (OK) that Mr. Gay (OK) brought by for us to see.

A evening walk with the new kids on the block - two of Lena's pups, Smart (male) and Terri (female).

Another gorgeous Oklahoma sunset.
